Wetherspoons Boston
We were tasked with assisting the scaffold team erect a safe work platform for re-pointing and removal of vegitation from the side of the pub. We deployed two pontoons and a workboat then once in place we provided a safety boat while the works was being completed. Once finished we returned with the pontoons to remove the scaffold.
Defender X Expedition
We were approached to design and build a fully amphibious kit for two Defender 110s for a world exped. Over the period of 2 years we built, trialed and supported the vehicles culminating in a transit of the Thames, a crossing of the Channel, a transit of the Seine and finally 800miles down the Yukon River in Alaska. The vehicles are shortly coming back to us for upgrades to enable an even more ambitious leg of their world tour. More to follow.
Bridge Maintenance
One of the core parts of our business is assiting survey teams both in East Anglia and Yorkshire to carry out bridge surveys and inspections. Our custom built pontoons along with up to 4.2m scaffold allows safe access for the teams.
Culvert CCTV
We were approached by a large construction company with a problem. They had to carry out CCTV inspections of culverts in and around East Anglia. After a quick enquiry and having completed the relevant courses our team deployed our Crawler CCTV unit to inspect a number of culverts. One was completely flooded which made us have to think outside the box a bit but our team developed a motorised floating inspection camera which we deployed to film the blockage.
All Terrain Vehicles
Safety Boat Solutions has all terrain vehicles to support works where even a 4x4 would struggle. We have used these for movie support, pipeline surveys, carrying pumping equipment for de-watering and can even convert one for an all terrain ambulance.
